Since the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been in the spotlight as of late, Restore Accountability is highlighting this FBI program still in operation. According to the Wastebook 2013, “The bureau’s Investigative Publicity and Public Affairs Unit, which has an annual budget of $1.5 million, provides screenwriters, movie and TV producers, and authors advice on costumes, props, scenery, and weapons as well as b-roll footage and fact checking. The FBI requests copies of the film script and plot to review and a “description how the FBI fits into the project and its relative importance.”
