The Small Business Administration was created to promote the needs of small businesses. However, the agency’s definition encapsulates 99.7% of all American businesses. As a result, many have made claims that large businesses are taking advantage of an agency designed to help small businesses. In addition to its mission running astray, the agency is routinely making improper payments through many of its loan programs, and perhaps takes more risk with taxpayer dollars than it should.
